I have to say that I LOVE this page. I love Hetalia - even enjoy the old Deen anime, although not as much as the new season five - but there were SO many flaws, that there were times where I felt like the animators didn't even care. It felt like they weren't respecting the fans. So thanks for doing this, so people can be more aware. How often does this page update, btw?

I really understand how awful the old anime art was but... do you think the new art is like that too? I think it's a huge improvement from before, but that's just me. I feel like you don't like the new art too much, is that true?

i guess i come across as a bit harsh on hetalia in general, but don’t worry, the only thing i really hate is DEEN and their old art.
What do you think of other animating studios' art/animation? May I hear your opinion on Aniplex?

Hilarious blog! Just wondering though -- you seem to take huge issue with the series' lack of good comedic timing. Have you ever watched the dub? In my humble opinion, the English voice actors often do a great job with comedic timing and delivery. They do the best they can with the shoddy editing and it's much more enjoyable to watch. I agree that the sub is dull as beans.

I’ve watched a couple episodes of the dub and I agree it’s miles better (as in funnier) than the original. I really like the Japanese VAs and have watched their events and you can really tell they work hard. But the direction makes the anime suffer making it really… off. I actually find it kinda sad knowing how much work VAs put into their roles and the final product is just not great (this goes for A LOT of shows)
With the dub, you can kinda tell the VAs don’t really give a shit and it’s great. It matches the half-ass-ness of the anime. (Not saying the English VAs are bad. They just seem like they don’t care so they mess around with the script and say whatever which ends up being funnier anyways.)
